Meet the Maker
Andrew Wild, Owner and Maker
Hi, I’m Andrew! I am the owner and maker of Mighty Deli Slices.
I live in Burlington, Vermont with my wife Rachelle. I grew up in Wisconsin, and ate enough ham and cheese sandwiches in my teenage years to feed a small army. Over time, I shifted to plant-based proteins for my health and for the environment. Rachelle and I used to buy plant-based deli slices at grocery stores, but we were dismayed by the amount of plastic waste and processed foods. A few years ago, we started making delicious plant-based deli slices at home, and I am excited to share them with the community!
Before Mighty, I taught middle and high school science. I have a degree in chemistry and a master’s and PhD in science education. In my free time, I enjoy rock climbing, hiking, skiing, and biking. My background in teaching and adventuring helps me make the slices with an analytical mind and a warm heart.
